A few weeks ago, I was listening to the "Earn Your Happy"podcast, in which Lori Harder and her husband were having an interesting conversation...
They were discussing plans for the post Covid re-opening of our states, towns, and businesses; most likely, all of them are following a specific plan to safely and effectively
re-launch their "day to day" activity.
My interest peaked when they brought up the topic of a personal
"re-launch"...
They posed this question, "What if we examined our personal lives and created a re-opening plan as individuals?". This concept intrigued me.... How am I going to move forward from this pause? What things do I want to re-evaluate? Is there parts of my life or beliefs I could shift to better preserve my energy?
So I brought this same question to my dear friend Joie of the "Not Talking Just to Hear Myself" podcast and during our talk, we decided to share our thoughts, observations, and some helpful tips surrounding your personal re-launch.
Your life was effected by this pandemic in some way, whether you found yourself unemployed, working from home, becoming a (home-school) teacher, or numerous cancelled plans and events. Many areas of your life were forced to shift, and it is worth your time to examine the areas that are "working" for you; the ones that give you fulfillment, energize you, and bring you joy. And to consider the things that are "not working"; people, places, activities that drain and deplete you.
We encouraged each other to create individual lists of our "working" and "not working";
or as I deemed mine, the "what to embrace" and "what to release" lists.
Joie invited me on to chat in depth about this powerful practice on the latest episode of "Not Talking Just to Hear Myself". Take a listen (link below) and I implore you, as we move into the post Covid re-launch, to take a few moments to sit down and get honest with yourself. Ask yourself those questions, consider the answers, and create a plan to implement them.It is so important throughout life we re-evaluate what "fills our cup" and what acts in adverse.
Here is the link to our episode, enjoy!
We would love to hear from you after listening! Share with us your takeaways and plans in the comments!
