We are all drawn to the stars and what they may have in store for us. Whether you are a believer or skeptic, there is something to be said about the way we like to examine life through the lens of the universe.
I consider myself to be a "modern mystic" of sorts, open to the idea of our power to go beyond the rational mind and physical appearance of life, and transcend into a deep awareness of unity; Unity of all people, God or Spirit, and the Universe as a whole, without distinctions.
Astrology is essentially the study of celestial objects - planets, moons, stars - and interpreting their movement and how it affects everything in the universe. We understand all objects at their core are comprised of moving energy (humans included) or empty space, and these century old beliefs help us connect to it all. Astrology drove the development of both astronomy and mathematics, but as time passed, science and this more holistic view became separated. In all forms, astrology (practical, physiological, and cosmic) is the ultimate connection to our intuitive energy, and can now be further validated through advances in the field of quantum physics. Science is finally catching up with what ancient mystics have knows for millenia.
We are ushering in a new era of astrology and tuning into our individual awareness. Collectively we are awakening to the fact that not only can we design and create our world, we can also redefine our perceptions and beliefs, in a way that brings harmony with everyone else. Although astrology has been developed for thousands of years, in this century we now have full access to this insightful system, redefining our reality, and how we can chose to experience this life.
Do not confuse the information from the Universe as "fortune telling" or "dark / evil". Instead imagine it as a map to your inner psyche; able to show you your strengths, weaknesses, limiting beliefs, and potential. Astrology can aid is self-reflection, and help you discover times of energetic alignment, deepening your understanding and possibilities in career, relationships, finances, and personal realization. Determining your own needs and tending to them will allow you to communicate more clearly. It can also help us to understand others, learn to appreciate our differences, and better get along with them.
There is a cultural "empowering" happening, involving a mass awakening and people searching for deeper meaning in life. We seek to better understand our reality, via self-exploration and embracing astrology and other spiritualistic means. Formerly rejected by modern science and rationalism, the social consciousness has shifted radically and we now have more tools than ever to empower ourselves using ancient knowledge such as astrology.
Most everyone knows their Sun sign (astrological sign the planet was traveling through on your date of birth) and it can typically describe basic traits and your personality. But do you know your moon and rising/ ascendant sign? Knowing these can help you better understand your emotions and inner mood as well as your physical body and outward persona. There are SO many facets to astrology including planets, elements, and transits and it can quickly become overwhelming. When learning more about your personal astrology, I recommend to start small, learn as you go, and have fun with it. If you are ready to dive in or even if you are slightly curious, I've linked a birth chart calculator below that can help you further unlock your star power!
